Developing Life Skills with Young Singers of the Palm Beaches

By Young Singers of the Palm Beaches June 30, 2026

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is far more than a children’s choir… it is a vibrant community where young voices grow, friendships develop, and confidence-building takes center stage. Since its founding in 2003, YSPB has become a second home for children in grades 2 through 12, offering a supportive environment where they can develop their voices while building confidence, character, and lifelong skills.

Led by passionate conductors and a supportive staff, children discover how to express themselves with confidence and purpose. Singers receive comprehensive vocal training, including technique, posture, breathing, diction, vowel shaping, music interpretation, and music history. They also gain essential performance skills such as stage presence, rehearsal discipline, and proper etiquette… tools that serve them both on and off the stage.

At the heart of YSPB is its mission: “teaching life skills through music.” This mission comes to life every day as singers learn communication, teamwork, problem-solving, cultural appreciation, and the importance of giving back. Through these experiences, children build self-esteem, resilience, and a strong sense of pride in themselves and their community.

For over two decades, Young Singers of the Palm Beaches has brought children together through the power of music, creating a safe and inspiring space where friendships are formed and creativity flourishes. With the continued growth of its satellite choirs, YSPB is expanding access to high-quality choral education, reaching even more families across Palm Beach County.

Today, the organization serves approximately 350 singers. Headquartered at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, YSPB also offers rehearsal locations for younger singers in South County at the Boynton Beach Cultural Center and in North County at First Presbyterian Church. Twice each year, the Young Singers take the stage at the Kravis Center, while smaller ensembles share their talents at community events throughout the year.

While tuition is required, Young Singers is deeply committed to accessibility. Financial assistance is available to qualifying families, ensuring that no child is turned away due to inability to pay. YSPB is also a direct-pay Step Up provider for homeschool families.

For families considering choir, YSPB is welcoming new singers who are ready to grow, learn, and be part of something meaningful. Auditions will be held on August 15, 2026. Requirements and registration can be found at www.yspb.org/audition.
