“Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is not only important for my child but important for us as parents. (My daughter) is in a safe place where she can do what she likes the most, singing! Music has helped her to improve her grades and to keep focus on what she needs to do. Music has changed her life for the better.”

Testimonials like this have been said about Young Singers of the Palm Beaches for 19 years. The children’s choral non-profit, also known as YSPB, has been creating beautiful music by bringing together children from across the county to develop harmony onstage and in life.

Young Singers’ notable music professionals not only nurture and educate children in choral singing and vocal technique, but also in skills that are valuable throughout their life. YSPB  inspires young people to embrace their potential and strive for being their best selves, both on stage and off.

Singers in grades 2 through 12 learn core vocal techniques like posture, breathing, diction, vowel articulation, reading music, and sight singing. They perform throughout our area and produce two concerts a season presented on the main stage of the Kravis Center. Additionally, singers develop teamwork and leadership skills, go on to form supportive friendships, and, in the process, break down social barriers to serve as ambassadors in their communities.

Young Singers welcomes all children, from public, private, and home schools; from diverse cultures, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Because they desire that every child who wants to be a part of their choir to have the ability to do so, they offer scholarships and financial aid.

This May and June, your child is invited to audition to be a Young Singer. Auditions are in person and take place in the Cohen Pavilion of the Kravis Center for the Performing  Arts in West Palm Beach. Young Singers has audition requirements, music tracks to practice with, and further information available on their website at www.yspb.org/audition. The next audition date is Saturday, May 21, 2022.

The public is also invited to attend Young Singers’ next concert – “We’ll Rise Above” -- on Saturday, May 28, at the Kravis Center. Tickets are $15-$60 and can be purchased from the Kravis directly in person, by phone at 561-832-7469, or online at www.kravis.org.
