Yum. Yum. And, yum. Ok, that is all I have to say. Really, this place is AMAZING! Frozen yogurt places are cropping up everywhere all of a sudden, but this one really stands out. My husband is the frozen treat lover in our family but this is one place that I can go to again and again because of the endless flavor combinations and incredible selection of toppings. And, they change their flavors all the time. Sure, they have chocolate and vanilla. They have Cake Batter. But they also have Watermelon Sorbet, Red Velvet Cake, Peanut Butter Cup and wait for it, CHOCOCHELLA-- which is a delicious combination of chocolate and hazelnut; yeah, that's right, just like Nutella but better because its oh so creamy and oh so cold.
The topping selection was overwhelming (in a good way) and there are way too many to list here. I love the bad sweet stuff, but I also really really love fresh fruit and they had beautiful strawberries, blueberries, bananas, peaches, mango and much more. They had all the usual as well as the unusual suspects times 100. Cereal toppings--were those lucky charms and fruity pebbles? Yep. Frosted cookies? Yep. Cheesecake bites? Yep.
Not only is the frozen yogurt incredible, but the place itself is a great place to visit and bring the kids. We walked in and were immediately greeted by friendly employees explaining how Menchie's works. And, they had little sample cups on a tray on the counter so that you may sample as many flavors as you want before you decide what to get. The kids got balloons and were welcomed to draw on a big chalk board on the wall (not that the yogurt itself didn't keep my daughter's attention, but this was a really nice touch). A toy series of collectible items, Menchie's stickers and washable tattoos also help to make this a great place to bring the kids.
The owner Charles Lowdowski is one of the nicest men you'll meet and told us that Menchie's is all about smiles and says that they have done their job if you "leave with a smile." We certainly did!
