The day before the fair opens, Thurs, Jan. 17, the Fair will feature a Ride-A-Thon where guests can enjoy all rides for one low price along with free fireworks. The Fair’s gigantic carnival, featuring more than 90 rides, will open to a sneak preview from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is just $10 with a coupon from www.southfloridafair.com.
On Fri., Jan. 18, admission is free for everyone attending the ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. at the Ford Theatre in Expo West for opening ceremonies. Those who use an advance admission ticket on opening day will be able to return another day for free. Ford Day is Tues., Jan. 22. Adult gate admission will be just $10 for the first 2,000 adult visitors. Ford will make a $5 donation to Autism Speaks for each ticket purchased. On Wed., Jan. 23, and Wed., Jan. 30, visitors can buy one regular adult gate admission and the second person will get in free with a coupon that is available at all Palm Beach County Goodwill stores in January or online at www.southfloridafair.com.
Palm Beach County School Day is on Jan. 24. Thirty dollars includes admission and a ride wristband. That evening, Bike Night will take place and will showcase more than 300 motorcycles parading throughout the grounds. Guests may bring their motorcycle and ride in the parade. Those who are riding on a motorcycle and arrive by 6 p.m. will pay only $5 admission per person per bike. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m.
Mon., Jan. 28, is Senior Day. Guests who are 60 years old and up will be admitted for $5. Seniors are $7 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. American Heroes Day, sponsored by Wells Fargo, is Tues, Jan. 29. All active military and veterans, law enforcement personnel and firefighters and their families will be admitted for just $7. They must present an ID card.
In addition, discount admission and ride tickets are now on sale through Jan. 17 at Publix supermarkets, BB&T, Bud’s Chicken & Seafood, TD Bank locations and online at http://www.southfloridafair.org. An advance purchase saves up to 30 percent off gate prices. The cost of an advance adult admission, 12 and older, is $10 and $15 at the gate.
An advanced child’s admission is $5 and $8 at the gate (5 and younger are free), and an advance senior admission, 60 and older, is $7 and $9 at the gate.
