With a brand new, expansive 56,000-sq.-ft. facility on 15 acres, the Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens will offer a vast array of children’s programs for babies through eighth grade starting Fall 2013. Most classes start the first or second week of September and run through late November.
Programs are designed by age:
•Mommy/Daddy and Me
•Preschool classes
•Elementary age classes
•Camp Shalom Days/Saturday Night Programs
•Sports Leagues
Themed birthday parties are available. Programs range from arts and crafts and music, to gymnastics, karate, basketball, soccer and more. The facility also includes an aquatics center, with classes to begin later this year. A winter scheduled will posted in the Fall.
“Family and Me” programs are designed for children younger than five. From the popular Tracie’s Music Together program to Daddy and Me Basketball and Parent/Child Gymnastics, there’s a variety of ways to integrate health, wellness and cultural education for even the littlest ones. The JCC is also partnering with the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach to offer My Little Artist and Me, a class starting Sept. 9.
Classes for three and four year olds include Garden Gymnastics at the J, karate by Hybrid Karate, as well as basketball, tiny toes combo dance classes (ballet, jazz and tap), science, cooking, tennis and zumbatonic high-energy fitness classes.
The Elementary Age classes include martial arts, tumbling, a pre-season basketball clinic, extreme dance, a sports club, gaga, ballet and jazz, gymnastics, tennis and tumbling. There’s also a variety of art, science and cooking classes including four presented by the Armory Art Center: puppet and doll making, Second Sundays mixed media art; clay construction; and Look Around Us, a drawing from observation class.
The Mandel JCC Palm Beach Gardens also offers a basketball league for K-8th grade and a kickball league for 3rd through fifth grade students. Monthly Saturday night programs are being planned just for kids, and the JCC features a variety of customized birthday party options as well that utilize the campus, including parties for gymnastics, dance, sports, swimming and cooking, to themed parties such as a pirate adventure a cheer-tastic party, or let us help you create a customized celebration.
