SCIENCE NEWS… our students will visit the University of Florida Aerospace Engineering Department and their Small Satellite Design Club to participate in their balloons at launches and payload recovery.
In a groundbreaking endeavor to put Weiss research into space, we are sending our first CubeSat prototype assembled by Weiss students on a Captive Carry Flight in Atlanta with Generation Orbit Launch Services. This truly puts us on the map of cutting edge education!

Hour of Code Week
December 7-13th
The Hour of Code is held globally during the week of December 7 to 13. The Weiss School has accepted the challenge to have every student experience a programming class for at least one hour during the week. Mr. David Levy, Vice Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens will also participate and learn coding from one of our students!

Archeology in an Hour! – FREE Public Event for Educators
Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM at The Weiss School
The Weiss School has partnered with the Florida Public Archeology Network and the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, to bring you Archeology in an Hour! This is a FREE workshop for educators of all grade levels that will provide lesson-plans and content about integrating archeology into your classrooms. Space is limited!

Native Drum Making Workshop – Open to the Public
Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Weiss School
Carey Stokes will lead us in an afternoon of traditional Native Drum Making. The cost is $175 per drum. A parent and child can work on one drum. This includes a 14" round single-sided drum head, hide materials, hands-on instruction, plus a drum beater. This would make a great gift for any child or even for a family member.
