Jupiter Recreation Sports and Specialty Camps

Each summer Jupiter Recreation offers several sport and specialty camps during the Palm Beach County School District summer break. Camps are typically half day and locations vary depending on which camps you select.

2018 Art in Nature Camp

August 6-10 • 9 AM-12 PM
Ages 5-11
Residents: $125 • Non-Residents $150 • Jupiter Community Center
$25 Additional Materials Fee

Classes will include environmental awareness experience with Brenda Nickolaus known as Mother Nature, while painting and crafting with green recycled items. Each craft is designed to encourage artistic play and to pay attention to the beauty of the small details in nature. We will cover a variety of topics; each day we will explore a different theme through hands-on activities, stories, crafts, encounters with resident animals as appropriate to the topic, and outdoor discovery. Activities: Bird ID, Clay Play, Insects in the Gardens, Trees and Forests, Water-Water Everywhere.

2018 Fishing Camp
9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages: 6-13
Residents: $130 • Non-Residents: $163 • Jupiter Community Park
Session 1: Jun 18-22
Session 2: Jul 30-Aug 3

The campers will learn to tie different knots, bait a hook, learn water safety and learn to identify different freshwater and saltwater fish in Florida. We provide fishing equipment, rods, bait, etc. We also have a fishing tournament on the last day of camp followed by an awards ceremony. Because of fishing equipment, this camp is limited to a specific number of campers, so please sign up ASAP! Join us for a great week of fishing and a chance to catch a trophy fish! (We release all caught fish!)

2018 Fun Chefs Academy Summer Cooking Camp
June 4-8 • 9:30 AM-12:30 PM
Ages 5-11
Resident: $160 • Non-Resident: $200 • Fee includes all supplies • Jupiter Community Center

Each day we will prepare a plenitude of recipes from all over the globe, including American, Asian, Mexican and Italian. We will also have a day of Baking for the budding pastry chefs, where we will bake, decorate and showcase. In addition to cooking, we will create a cookbook and make a variety of kitchen crafts to keep. Lunch is included.

2018 Fun Chefs Academy Summer Cooking Camp
June 4-8 • 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
Ages 5-11
Resident: $160 • Non-Resident: $200 • Fee includes all supplies • Jupiter Community Center

Every day we will have a quick cooking lesson and then break into groups. Each group will receive a mystery basket and create a delicious recipe while competing against other teams - CHOPPED style! Fee includes all supplies. Due to common food allergies, parents will be required to sign a waiver to register for this program.

About the Instructor
Fun Chefs, LLC... was founded by Stacey Stolman, an accomplished culinary educator, cookbook developer and food stylist. Ms. Stolman graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Her food styling and recipe development clients consist of Kraft, Nabisco, Campbell's Soup Company, and Lipton. She was the recipe developer for a cookbook called, "Jewish Holiday Style" and is a contributing writer for various publications including FamilyFun Magazine.

She relocated her business and has been working with many clients and schools in both Palm Beach and Martin Counties, along with many community organizations.

2018 STEAM Driver's Start Your Engines!
June 11-15 • 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages 6-12
Resident: $180 • Non-Resident: $225 • Fee includes all supplies • Jupiter Civic Center

Design, build, paint and customize your unique derby car that you will race at the end of the week. Learn about aerodynamics, weight distribution, gravity and speed! A special guest local racecar driver will explain racing facts and safety of racing as a hobby. Awards and Prizes for all racers! Campers will need a water and a snack. Minimum 20 participants. Registration for this camp ends May 18th

2018 STEAM Pioneers, Pirates and Pow-Wows
July 30-August 3 • 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages 6-12
Resident: $180 • Non-Resident: $225 • Fee includes all supplies • Jupiter Civic Center

Discover life as a pioneer in early Florida through exhibits, speakers and hands-on activities. Uncover hidden treasures, map a treaure hunt and learn about shipwrecks just off our coast! Spend a day with a local American Indian appreciating the culture and creating crafts native of early Florida. Campers will need a water and a snack. Minimum 20 participants.

2018 Itty Bitty Multi-Sports Camp

June 4-8 • 9:30 AM-11:30 AM
Ages: 4-6
Residents: $95 • Non-Residents: $119 • Jupiter Community Center

This camp is designed for the young athlete and their first camp. These four to six-year-olds will learn basic sports skills and have a blast doing so. Sports will consist of basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. This camp will challenge, teach and entertain your young athlete. Class Size: Minimum 10 / Maximum 40

Everyone must complete this form even if you register online. You must turn in this form at least 5 days prior to the start of camp.
In-person
Registration can be completed at the Jupiter Community Center, located at 200 Military Trail Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-8:00 PM and Saturday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM.
Online registration
You will need to know your Rectrac Household number; this is NOT your JTAA PAYS number. If you do not know, or do not have a Rectrac Household number please contact the Jupiter Community Center for assistance at (561) 741-2400.
Full payment is due at registration
In accordance with the ADA, all persons with special needs are welcome to register. Please call Summer Magun at 561-741-2315 at least two weeks prior to camp start date to ensure appropriate needs can be met.
