As a parent, you already know that children can get can sick or injure themselves despite your best efforts– even while staying home during a pandemic. Your family’s safety and well-being is Jupiter Medical Center’s highest priority, and we want you to feel safe taking your child to a hospital, should they need to visit.

Jupiter Medical Center has continued to provide the community with safe, quality, pediatric care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department is a 6,300-square-foot facility designed to foster a sense of calm for children and their families. The department includes dedicated family waiting and play areas with child-sized furniture, games and an interactive play area, eight treatment rooms, each of which features child-sized exam and diagnostic equipment, two triage rooms where pediatric nurses assess patients upon their arrival by evaluating their condition, symptoms and vital signs with the goal of expediting their care and reducing overall wait times and an orthopedic room to fast-track the treatment of children with broken bones or other orthopedic complaints. All of the medical equipment is designed specifically for pediatric patients.

The De George Pediatric Unit is a comprehensive, family-centered environment, featuring state-of-the-art medical and therapeutic services in partnership with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital treating newborns and toddlers, adolescents to young adults up to age 21 providing hospital-based pediatric services in the community, alleviating the stress and financial burden of leaving the area for treatment.

The De George Pediatric Unit is a family-friendly environment offering compassionate care with 12 inpatient pediatric Rooms, pediatric surgery suites, continuous cardiac and oxygen saturation monitoring, for children who need a higher level of care and the Bear's Den for resting (named after Jack "The Golden Bear" Nicklaus).

Jupiter Medical Center’s Pediatric Therapy Program at the Cary Grossman Wellness Center continues to treat children safely providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pelvic therapy and feeding/swallow therapy. Jupiter Medical Center has always taken safety seriously, and now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have instituted the highest safety measures to help keep you and your family safe. Jupiter Medical Center is the only hospital in the area to deploy an array of state-of-the-art technology solutions to ensure patients receive care in the safest possible healthcare environment. These technologies include Care.ai facial scanning systems for temperature screening, Tru-D SmartUVC ultraviolet disinfecting robots that use UVC light technology to disinfect patient and procedural rooms, eliminating viruses and other pathogens on surfaces.

Currently, Jupiter Medical Center has implemented a “no visitor” policy with the exception of Labor and Delivery and Pediatric patients, where one visitor is allowed. Any visitors who are sick are not permitted to enter the hospital, without exception, all visitors will be screened at the time of arrival.
