Need a hurricane preparedness tip for dealing with old or expired hurricane supplies in Palm Beach County? Keep hazardous items out of the garbage or recycle. Palm Beach County residents can take them to one of seven SWA Home Chemical and Recycling Centers. Last year, Palm Beach County residents safely disposed of or recycled more than 4.9M pounds of home chemicals.
This included:
- 95,000 pounds of fuel
- 570,000 pounds of used oil and oil filters
- 230,000 pounds of gas cylinders/propane tanks
- 116,000 pounds of batteries
