June! The month when summer arrives. But that's certainly not all! Here are seven things you can do with your kids in Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, and nearby this month to make the most of June!
1. Get outside
June is Great Outdoors Month, so get out there and make the most of these waning days of spring and these first days of summer. Try a new park — our favorite is the Gardens North County District Park, go on a picnic at Dubois Park in Jupiter or Coral Cove Park in Tequesta, or take the kids fishing with the River Center or Loggerhead Marinelife Center. June 1-31
2. Eat a donut
Better yet, get one for free on National Donut Day! In Palm Beach County, you can usually score a free donut at Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme on National Donut Day. June 3
3. Enjoy that corn on the cob
There's nothing better than that first corn on the cob of the season, with lots of butter and salt....yummmm. Try it fried too, or fancy it up with one of our compound butter recipes! A great night to serve it? National Corn on the Cob Day! June 11
4. Wave the flag
Hang out the flag and give a little love to that red, white and blue on Flag Day. Click here for all the facts about Flag Day from History.com. June 14
5. Celebrate Dad!
Here's an idea for a fun Father's Day craft the kids can make — and he'll treasure. June 19
6. Juneteenth
Juneteenth, sometimes called the country's “second Independence Day," celebrates the freedom of enslaved people at the end of the Civil War. Celebrate by supporting black-owned businesses in Palm Beach County and keep an eye on the Macaroni KID event calendar here for local Juneteenth events. June 19
7. Celebrate the start of summer in Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, and Tequesta!
Macaroni KID Palm Beach Gardens-Jupiter is here to help you make the most of summer 2022 with your family. You'll find all the Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, and Tequesta summer events, fairs, festivals, and much more on our events calendar here! June 21
