For the 15th year in a row, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida (GSSEF) is sponsoring their Cookies for the Military program. The program provides an opportunity to donate boxes or cases of Girl Scout cookies to our service women and men domestically or overseas. Cookies for the Military is a great way for our community to support Girl Scouts while sending a “taste of home” to our troops. Supporting the Cookies for the Military program is also an investment in building the financial literacy and leadership skills of girls right here at home. By participating in the Cookie Sale Program, girls learn budgeting, customer service, how to achieve a goal, and so much more.
In 2022, 60,121 boxes were donated to our Cookies for the Military program - a 9.38 percent increase over the previous year. This year the goal is to collect enough donations for 75,000 boxes of cookies. Because of the generosity of our community members, GSSEF has sent more than 700,000 boxes of cookies to our troops since 2009. GSSEF works in partnership with Forgotten Soldiers, Operation Homefront, the American Legion, and Soldiers’ Angels, non-profit organizations that provide care packages and support to our troops and their families.
You can donate by the case ($60) or by the box ($5). Customers can make a donation to Cookies for the Military when purchasing cookies from any Girl Scout or by visiting www.cookiesforthemilitary.org.
