Across the state and over the iconically stunning skyway bridge lies TradeWinds Island Resorts, located in the heart of beautiful St. Pete Beach. I know, I know, we live on the beach here in Palm Beach County, but I am sure you know as well as I do that taking a real vacation requires leaving home. And St. Pete beach is close enough, but just far enough away to easily take that much-needed family trip! And the beaches are gorgeous - TradeWinds Island Resorts' beachfront location provides pristine white sand stretches for miles, offering the perfect playground for families to build sandcastles, play beach volleyball, or simply relax. The resort's beachfront setting ensures stunning views and breathtaking sunsets that will create cherished memories for the whole family. We opted to rent a covered cabana steps from the shore, where we were able to order delicious cold refreshments from our phones; it was wonderful.

TradeWinds Island Resorts truly excels in offering an impressive array of water activities suitable for all ages. From exhilarating giant inflatable water slides on the beach to tranquil poolside relaxation, there's something to suit every family member's preference. The 15,750 square foot Inflatable Water Park is an absolute hit with kids, featuring slides, trampolines, climbing challenges, plunges, and obstacle courses. For parents seeking a little relaxation, the adult-only whirlpools and secluded cabanas provide a serene oasis away from the excitement. With multiple pools, waterslides, and activities located throughout the expansive property and a range of thrilling water sports for the more adventurous families (such as a surf rider simulator, parasailing, jet skiing, and paddleboarding), families won't run out of things to do.

Activities, Entertainment, and Dedicated Kids' Programs
In addition to the fabulous water activities, TradeWinds Island Resorts has a vast array of other activities on-site, including a thrilling beachfront zipline, an on-site mini-golf course, tennis courts, brand-new paddleball courts, and beach volleyball courts. Kids and adults alike can play with the friendly critters in the touch tanks, take a behind-the-scenes tour of the on-site aquarium, and paddleboat through the property. Nightly family-friendly entertainment and events include movies on the beach, nightly beach bonfires with s'mores, an ultra-impressive FABULOUS pirate show, and live music on the beach.

And, TradeWinds Island Resorts goes above and beyond to ensure that children have an unforgettable experience during their stay. The KONK Club offers supervised activities for children aged 4 to 12, including arts and crafts, beach games, and treasure hunts. Meanwhile, the Teen Lounge provides a dedicated, Instagram-worthy space for teenagers to hang out, play games, and socialize. These programs allow parents to enjoy some well-deserved downtime, knowing that their children are in safe hands and making new friends.

Whether you're in the mood for a casual beachfront meal, a gourmet dining experience, or a quick bite between activities, the resort has you covered. The resort's signature restaurant, Palm Court Italian Grill, serves up classic Italian dishes and seafood with a Gulf Coast twist, and the laid-back SandBar Beach Bar & Grill, serves up classic American fare right on the sand. If you want to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach, I highly recommend stopping at the lobby sandwich shop. Their made-to-order sandwiches are to die for -- I honestly had one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten made by their resident sandwich artiste! For dinner, do not skip the spectacular RumFish Grill. We had a gorgeous, super delicious, and memorable dinner aquarium-side. It was fantastic. The ability to choose from various dining venues adds an extra layer of convenience and keeps the whole family satisfied throughout their stay.
