Specialized Training From Seasoned Professionals
The Dance Theater of Florida merged this year with the Florida School for Dance Education. Since 2012, their commitment to dance training has been unparalleled. Their staff is comprised of professionals, each specializing in their particular dance disciplines, from classical ballet to contemporary, tap, jazz, hip hop, and even musical theater. At all levels of instruction, DToF provides access to professional dance training. For those who are more serious about their art form, Dance Theater’s pre-professional company serves as a springboard to prepare students for future professional careers in dance. For those dancers who have performing ambitions, in the last two seasons alone the Dance Theater has wowed over 15,000 patrons with dance performances in Palm Beach County.
Expanding Their Space, Upholding Their Values
Dance Theater of Florida is thrilled to announce its move to a new, more expansive space. As part of its ongoing commitment to excellence, Dance Theater is expanding to offer more studio space in a state-of-the-art facility on Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens.
This transformation, currently taking place, marks an exciting new chapter in the Company’s history. While the physical space is changing, the core values and mission remain steadfast. Dance Theater of Florida exists because every dancer counts, and the organization remains deeply committed to helping each dancer develop into the artist they wish to become.
Despite the temporary transition, the Company will continue to provide the same excellent dance training, uphold the highest educational standards, and sustain the nurturing and disciplined environment it has been known for over the past 13 years. Classes are currently available at a temporary location, as they prepare to raise the curtain on their new space this fall.
Children aged 2-6 are welcome to join their Children’s Division. Studio classes for ages 7 and up include a wide variety of class selections including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, and cirque/acro. Pre-professional and professional instruction are available for dancers by audition.
