Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is way more than just a children’s choir. Since 2003, YSPB, as it is commonly known, has been a second home, a happy place, for children in grades 2 through 12. It is a place where they learn and grow as singers and gain skills to make them better citizens. The Young Singers’ professional conductors and caring staff are dedicated to making sure each child feels a part of the YSPB community. Singers learn the ins and outs of becoming a better singer like vocal technique, posture, breathing, diction, vowel articulation, music interpretation and music history, rehearsal and performance techniques, presentation, and etiquette. Their mission “teaching life skills through music” is brought to fruition as they guide children through communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving skills, appreciation for other cultures, good citizenship, and the importance of giving back to the community, and YSPB strives to build each child’s self-esteem and pride in oneself and the group.
See the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches for yourself… they invite you and your family to join them at their holiday concert “Sing For Peace” on December 14, 2024, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets will be available starting on October 5th at www.kravis.org. While auditions for the winter term are currently closed, if your child is interested in joining the choir, auditions will be held in December and January, so please refer to yspb.org/audition.
