Why Camp Welaka?
Surrounded by 640 acres of Florida’s natural beauty, Camp Welaka is the perfect place for girls to discover new passions, build confidence, and make lifelong memories. Their day campers spend their week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily enjoying exciting activities, including making new friends, exploring the great outdoors, and enjoying classic camp activities including archery/slingshots, canoeing & paddle-boarding, hiking, crafts, pool time, and more.
Hosted by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, girls lead the way at Camp Welaka! This is a place where you can be bold, be adventurous, and be YOU—all while surrounded by a community of supportive friends and inspiring female mentors.
Located in Tequesta, Camp Welaka is equipped with a lodge and commercial kitchen, unit houses for activities, a full-time camp ranger, and first aid / CPR certified staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.

- Artful Escape – June 23-27, 2025: a week of camp fueled by creativity as campers express themselves through various forms of art like painting, sculpting, and nature-based crafts.
- Back to Nature – July 21-25, 2025: a week of camp adventuring into the great outdoors with exciting camp activities like animal tracking hikes, canoeing, fishing, and environmental conservation.
