The Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Goldner Conservatory will present two more student productions this summer to finalize their Prep to Production Summer Camps. First, is Seussical Junior, featuring a talented cast of students Grades 4-7, who will tell this fantastical story through song and dance.
What is behind the story of the red and white striped hat? Join our characters of a boy, a cat, Horton the Elephant, and the entire immersive world of Dr. Seuss. Vivid colors and musical favorites like, “Horton Hears a Who!” and “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!” all make for an enjoyable, creative story for families to experience.
There will be three performances on Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday, July 27 at 2:00 pm in Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s new intimate space, The Island Theatre. Tickets go on sale to the general public on July 14 at 10:00 am.
Then, Ride the Cyclone, a darkly whimsical tale set at a magical carnival that blends humor, heart, and an unforgettable score. Performed by students in Grades 8-12, travel to a mystical carnival complete with a fortune teller and magic rollercoaster called the Cyclone where characters are faced with the trial of their lives. This tale is told with witty dialogue, and an incredible contemporary score filled with classical, folk, rock, and musical theatre styles. This touching, hilarious musical is a funny and moving look at what makes a life well-lived.
There will be three performances on Saturday, August 2 at 2:00 pm and 7:00pm, and Sunday, August 3 at 2:00 pm in The Island Theatre. Tickets go on sale to the general public on July 21 at 10:00 am.
