At Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, every rehearsal, every performance, and every note are steps toward success. YSPB, as it is fondly known, provides more than just a solid choral education… their programs give children the tools to thrive musically, academically, and personally.
Young Singers of the Palm Beaches helps children develop critical life skills such as teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and confidence. As they learn to blend their voices in harmony, they also learn to communicate, collaborate, and lead. These are skills that serve them not just in rehearsals, but in classrooms, relationships, and future careers.
Singers at YSPB grow in ways that echo far beyond the stage. Just ask the parents and alumni who proudly share how the choir has transformed their lives.
Marco, a parent of two YSPB alumni, in a note of thanks to the organization wrote: “Matthew spent nine years and Arianna eleven years in the choir… YSPB will remain with them forever and will make them proud to have been part of it.”
Heather, another parent of a recent 12th-grade YSPB graduate, noted, “We love YSPB for the outstanding musical instruction, performance opportunities, and life-long friendships. Isabella and Katie have been sweet friends since 4th grade.” (see picture below)

Megan (pictured above), an 8-year choir member who is now a Classroom Assistant at Young Singers, says, “I treasure all of the special memories, like going to New Mexico to sing and experience the culture of Native American tribes there. I recall all of the things I learned and am now able to pass down to the children who are currently singers.”
Pictured with Megan is Devin Embrich, another YSPB graduate who is now leading the Men’s Choir at Young Singers and teaching music at Jupiter Middle School. A joy-filled, YSPB choral success story indeed!
Research supports what parents and alumni of YSPB already know: music education fuels growth across multiple areas of development. A study by the Arts Education Partnership found that students involved in music not only perform better in reading and math, but also show greater proficiency in spatial-temporal skills, which are crucial for success in STEM subjects. In fact, according to a study by the College Board, students who participate in music programs score an average of 100 points higher on the SAT than their peers without musical training.
But the benefits aren’t just academic. Studies published in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology link music education with increased self-esteem, emotional regulation, and resilience. Singing in a choir, in particular, offers a powerful sense of belonging and emotional connection, reducing stress and promoting mental well-being. These outcomes are especially valuable during the formative years of childhood and adolescence.
At YSPB, students discover their voice—literally and figuratively. They perform on professional stages like the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, but the real spotlight is on their personal transformation. Young Singers of the Palm Beaches is more than a choir. It’s a launchpad for lifelong success.
