Camp Shalom offers a vibrant summer experience tailored to children entering Kindergarten through 10th grade. Our mission is to foster growth by encouraging campers to embrace their confidence, character, and self-esteem. With a variety of programs, we ensure every child can create their best summer memories.
Our Traditional track offers a well-rounded curriculum encompassing activities like swimming, art, sports, science, music, boating, and dance—an ideal choice for those eager to explore various activities. Alternatively, our Sports track provides an active, sports-centric experience with a focus on sports like basketball, soccer, and flag football, all while enjoying camp favorites like swimming and trips. Each week, campers immerse themselves in a designated sport, culminating in an exciting "big game" where they apply their newfound skills.
We also offer a special needs and inclusion option. Our inclusive environment fosters social and recreational interaction among all campers, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. This unit offers tailored programs, including sensory, occupational, and music therapies, to enhance crucial skills.
Designed specifically for older campers, our middle school unit offers elective periods, local trips, and opportunities for peer bonding, catering to diverse interests and preferences. For the eldest campers, our Counselor In Training (CIT) program provides a valuable social outlet, boosts confidence, and imparts essential skills—all while earning community service hours.
We also offer a Monday through Friday overnight camp experience called JNightZ where children can foster independence and embrace adventure away from home. Campers spend their days at Camp Shalom enjoying our regular camp programming, then head just five minutes away for overnight activities and lodging, filled with camper’s choice activities, evening programs, and special traditions!
All campers participate in daily swimming, camp-wide special events, silly dress up days, and more!
